Christian Aid Photoshoot Thu 23rd Mar

Christian Aid would like as many folk as possible who are involved in any way with Bridge Cross, or any other Christian Aid activities to take part in a publicity photoshoot at the Road Bridge car park on Thursday at 10.30 am.

New Houses Visitation Wed 15th Mar

We would like to invite you to join us on Saturday 1st April to distribute welcome leaflets to the new houses in our town.  We will meet at the Tesco Car Park , the small area by the side of the store next to the Dakota hotel at 10:00 am.  If you are unable to join us we would welcome your prayers as we welcome new residents and invite them to the churches in the town.  Please let Wendy Auld know if you are interested or just turn up on the day.

Exploring the God Question   See: Exploring The God Question   Thu 2nd Mar

Are science and Christianity in conflict? Has science buried God? These are both widely held views in society today. Exploring the God Question is a resource that offers a series of videos featuring interviews with scientists, both atheists and theists, with a view to stimulating discussion. The 17th Annual 3K’s Tour 2017 Thu 2nd Mar

Notice has come in of a special trip the Rev John Webster is organising to India and Nepal.  John was formerly Chaplain and Farm Manager at Dr Graham's Homes and though now retired he is organising what will now be the 17th Annual 3K tour - Kolkata, Kathmandu and Kalimpong.  If you are interested in going on this tour on 3rd to 23rd November, 2017, more details are available on leaflets in the lounge.

NOMAD Thu 23rd Feb

Beth and Sandra from the team will be taking part in the 10am service on 19th March, while other members of the Nomad team are at the Kirkliston churches. The team will be in the High School from Monday to Friday, and are taking the cage to Kirkliston Leisure Centre on Friday evening - they'll be there from about 7.30pm. Please take a few minutes to pray for them each morning when you pause for a coffee - thank you!

Creche Thu 23rd Feb

Our new crèche facility is now up and running during the 10am all-age service. The crèche is for children under the age of 3; older children are encouraged to join in our Sundays@10 activities – but age ranges are flexible!  Parents/carers can leave their children with the crèche team in the coffee lounge from around 10.15am until the end of the service; you’re welcome to go back in to church, or you can of course stay with your child if you or they prefer.

The Local Church Lenten Series 2017 Thu 23rd Feb

a discussion series on sustainability, the earth and a God centred commitment to action.  Living in an age of hypocrisy, creating tools for the climate conscious Christian.  All are welcome to attend the last session on Wednesday 29th March.  7.30-9.30pm at Augustine United Church, 41 George IV Bridge, EH1 1EL.  To find out more contact Rachel at administrator@augustine.org.uk or 0131 220 1677.

Flower List Mon 9th Jan

There are still some spaces on the Flower List for 2017, particularly for the coming weeks. If you would like to donate flowers for the Communion Table on any particular Sunday, please put your name on the list on the noticeboard in the lounge. For more information please contact Linda Robinson.

Spring Clean Thu 15th Dec

QPC Comms team has carried out a spring clean of the Old Vestry and the cupboard behind it. The contents have been tidied into plastic boxes and labeled and an inventory is available in the office. There are some items in the Harbour Room to be claimed.  Anything not claimed by 29th March will be disposed of.

Dalmeny Art and Craft Group Wed 16th Nov

Dalmeny Art and Craft Group is presently meeting in the St Andrew Hall, 2-4 pm on Wednesday afternoons.  New members welcome.

Homegroups Mon 22nd Aug

Homegroups are meeting normally fortnightly outside school holidays. These groups are a great way to get to know others better, to support each other in the ups and downs of our lives and to grow in our knowledge and experience of God. Please contact Bob Gemmell, Rebecca Saunders or Ian Forsyth if you would like to join a group or would like more information.

Pastoral Team Fri 22nd Apr

The Pastoral Assistants form part of our Church's Pastoral Care Team and support the ministers by visiting young and old at home or in hospital. If you would like a confidential visit, or are aware of someone who would benefit from one, please contact Betsy Clarke (0131 331 2783), Anne Forsyth (0131 629 7833), Nigel Hutchison (0131 331 2996) Christine Kirkcaldy (07766 339707) or Esther in the church office (01313311100) who will pass on a message. The flowers from church are delivered each week to those who have been bereaved, are ill or are having a special celebration.  If you know of anyone for whom these would be appropriate, please contact one of the Pastoral Assistants or Esther.
