Sponsored Bike Pilgrimage Thu 11th May

Robert de Berry, a retired Anglican vicar, is leading a team of cyclists on a sponsored bike pilgrimage from Cape Wrath in the north of Scotland through Hope Valley in Derbyshire ending at Peacehaven on the Sussex coast, a journey of around 850 miles. The pilgrimage is to raise awareness, prayer and support for persecuted Christians through the charities Christian Solidarity Worldwide and Release International.  The team of 6 will be stopping in Queensferry on 26th May and we invite you to come along to the  Church Centre at 7.30pm that evening to meet the team and join with them in prayer for the work of these 2 charities.  We hope you will also offer support in sponsorship to encourage them on their journey and sustain the work of these charities in providing help and advocacy for Christians in some of the most difficult and dangerous places for discipleship – countries such as Iran, Pakistan, North Korea and many more.  If you would like to sponsor Robert and the team you can make your donation on the night or by putting a donation in an envelope in the offering plates marked accordingly.

Holiday Club Thu 11th May

Planning is now underway for this year's holiday club, which we hope to run from 31st July to 4th August. We're looking for people to help with crafts, bible stories, music, games and much more during the week; with keeping the paperwork straight and the coffee flowing(!); and with craft preparation etc beforehand if you can spare an evening or two. There is also potentially a special role for someone creative who has quite a few hours to spare. If you've never helped with a holiday club ... you don't know what you've missed! But you can find out more by asking Martin or emailing childrenyouth@qpcweb.org - please help us to provide something that we know makes a huge difference in the lives of primary aged children, as we help them to find out in a new and exciting way that Jesus is a real person who loves them.
