Explore Christianity, ask questions, and share your point of view on this course supported by QPC, Dalmeny Kirk and Kirkliston Parish Church. Newliston Arms, Kirkliston is the venue.
One of the privileges of being part of the Church of Scotland is that we are committed to providing the services of our Minister for the conducting of funerals for anyone within the Parish boundaries. Being the only parish church in South Queensferry and Dalmeny then anyone who lives in the town or village is welcome to contact the minister to arrange for a service for a loved one.
Normally such contact is made by the undertaker who will ensure the availability of a minister before finalising the details with the Crematorium or Cemetery.
The minister normally visits the bereaved family once the practical arrangements are in place and at this meeting there will be an opportunity to share the story of the life of the deceased and to plan the service.
